Apparently, once you've added this - you can't remove it. I'm as allergic to a blank page as most writers, so here goes.

Hi, I'm Tess.

My disease defines me. A statement I fought for a long time but finally decided to embrace a few years ago. It colors everything about my life and restricts my ability to engage with the world.

That said... I love my life.

When my migraines got better, I struggled to adapt. Being "well" again after more than a decade of a debilitating neurological condition was a struggle. I did therapy twice and still don't have a handle on it.

A few years ago, my husband and I uprooted ourselves from Portland, OR, and moved to a wide space in the road on the edge of the Chihuahuan Desert in New Mexico in search of dark skies and birds. An adventure!

I'm a freelance writer addicted to productivity culture who wants to change the world one word at a time.
